Do the Freepers have infighting amoung themselves like i see here? |
|
It seems to me they are much more unified and Fundementalist and therefore stronger as a party..For whatever it's worth we need out come together on the left and do whatever we need to do in 04 to defeat Bush...ALL Greens should vote Dem just this once because ANY Dem president will be 10000000 times less of a danger to the world then another 4 years of Bush being able to do whatever he wants to do. Please, suspend the idiological voting and the infighting for 10 months and do what is best for this country and the world, and support the Dem nominee, whomever that may be, so that we can get our country back on track. Once back, then you can go back to your different camps on the left..Personally, i'm left of ALL the Dem candidates and even the greens it looks like, but i'm still solidly supporting the Democratic candidate as the FAR FAR lesser of the evils....PLease Please stop the bickering and infighting and stand behind this Cause for all of the Left...If we do not stand together to defeat Bush we have ZERO chance and face a blowout election...

1. The right isn't exactly known for being free-thinking..... |
|
So it's no real surprise they all march in lockstep with one another.
Indeed, that's part of what being a conservative is: maintaining the status quo rather than trying new ideas and ideals.

Most of them cheer for *, but a handful of them are smart enough to attack him (unfortunately they call him a Socialist just because he doesn't destroy Medicare and Social Security in the short term instead of the long term).

It seems to me they are much more unified...
They share they same single brain! :)
I'm happier in this camp where my ideas and beliefs are justly (and sometimes not) challenged.
We may look like a mess from the outside, but our diverse voices give us strength the Freepers cannot imagine.

5. Freeperville, in many aspect is boring as hell. Why? |
|
Because it's a big chearleading section. No one dare offer their own obsveration/opinion that goes against the sheeple.
I am also tired of the vitriol concerning the candidates, but I will tell you this. On DU (and I have said this before), very often you see personal quotes about someone's health, their family, depression etc. You NEVER see that on FR. It's very stark; very sanitized.
And since I troll this about once a week, I can tell you that I don't see many long-term members. Not like DU.
I can't wait till we get a nominee and all of this crap will be over. United DUers.

25. Who the hell cares? They are a vapid group and very easy to |
|
see thru.
Freeeper010 - "I have been a Democrat all my life." <first signal> Thenyou have the blah, blah, blah question.
"Do you really think X will win?" More propaganda.
Then they usually star with the "McGovern/Dukasis bulshit." They are so transparent.
They usually throw in some candidate who had NO chance of winning - Al Sharpton (apologies to Al) and then start their sh*t.
I can spot a Freeper a mile away. If you want to know why, PM me.

Our goal is to put a Dem in the WH - we all need to work as a team to do that. The thing I've noticed about the repukes is that they are single-minded in purpose. Call it whatever you will, but if we unify like they do then we will win hands down, which is what we must do.

17. If you are talking about literal freepers |
|
(i.e. "people" who post at freerepublic.com) -- all anti-Bush dissent is quashed over there, as far as I can tell. So they may appear more unified, but that is due to their policies on banning people for daring to express anti-Bush sentiment.
If you are talking about right-wingers/Republicans in general -- I don't know, and I don't care. I'm not taking my cues from them on how to act.

but there is a division now. As far as FR goes, if you disagree you're banned, so I don't think many people disagree.

group think. Dissent from the fed doctrine is frowned upon. Fascism gleefully comes to a nation designed to prevent it. Sharing in popular ideas is promoted and designed by the media. They couldn't care less that we have different ideas. We only represent single digit percentages. They own this nation now. When it finally stinks of shit it will be us that clean it up.

20. i'm keeping my fingers crossed |
|
i am just hoping and praying that somehow most people that just don't like Bush will come out and vote to get him out of office, be they of whatever party. I mean, i was talking to my brother the other day and he is pulling for Gephardt, i'm pulling for Dean, but i asked him "but you're going to vote democrat no matter who gets it, right?" and he was like "oh hell yes...somebody's gotta get bush out no mater what" so i was happy about that. he is not traditionally a party man. I just hope that if someone other than "personal fav" wins the dem nomination people won't just give up and not vote. it's my personal nightmare that people just "don't vote".

21. They have a black and white view of the world |
|
So, if they think you are on their side, they'll back you to the end. If you're not, they'll treat you like the devil incarnate.
They don't see the world in shades of grey like others do.
That's why I think they don't eat their own kind.

24. Diverse backgrounds, different opinions. |
|
And yet we're all here in the same place nearly four years after we found a place to call home. We are a family and everything else that goes along with it for better or worse but we will not be divided.
After all, there was the stolen election, 911, national embarassments and attacks on our civil rights. And somehow the primaries are supposed to be the thing that weakens us.
Let the freepers and Rove continue to think the way that they do. After all, we're still here.
