I'm afraid Wednesday the American people are going |
|
to get this "surge" from Mr. Bush. This jobs program for Iraq I'm sure is needed but a hellva lot of Americans could use a good paying job. How much you want to bet Bush/Cheney will attack Iran just before they leave office. Christ! I wish someone would put some controls on this president.

1. Dead on. This country needs a jobs program and access to |
|
free education for every citizen: young, old and everyone in between.

2. Education is an investment that has been proven to produce a significant return. |
|
For some reason this education thing seems to produce jobs that pay large amounts of money. When the quality is high these students grow up to be 'productive'.
Wonder why it's such a hot issue to push about education but never get anywhere.

5. Because the rethuglicans don't want the working class to get educated |
|
an educated lower class means that people tend to think before acting, which as 9/11 showed, the un-thinking uneducated bought into shrubs lies about WMD's. Btw, I also consider fundie schools grads as uneducated, when the mind is limited to input it's easier for the masters to control said people.

3. I fear Bush/Cheney are going to find any excuse to attack Iran |
|
What scares me the most is that may try to pull another 9/11 on this country, declare martial law, blame the attack on Iran, start up the draft, and nothing will stop them. The outcome of it all will be a disaster for the world. Armegeddon anybody? :nuke:

6. No, I feel that the American People have about had their fill |
|
of the Neo-Conservative's "bull in a china shop" approach to Foreign Policy.
Our service men and women are stretched to the limit.
Some SANE civilians and military leaders in the Pentagon must work with Gates to stop this insanity.
I'm getting an impression that "Poppy's Boys" will NOT allow Junior to step across that line, i.e., bomb Iran.
Remember Poppy is evil but highly intelligent ... unlike DimSon.

7. Little Boots listens to no one... |
|
he's tuned out Poppy's Pals as far as suggestions on Iraq and since when has he ever listened to anything the American people have to say? No, Little Boots marches to a different drummer, listens to no one and is betting his entire pResidency and legacy on this "surge". He's trying to rescue his legacy and thousands will die in his fruitless attempt. It's all about him: always has been, always will be. Whoever has to die in order for him to be "the war president" is just shit out of luck. He doesn't care.
