If another natural disaster strikes and we have no National Guard we know who to blame
Those who support the war always claim to be concerned with "defending America", yet they are the ones who have made this country more dangerous. It was their President who responded to the 9/11 attacks with a reading of "My Pet Goat". It was their President who pissed off the world when he went to slaughter the civilians of a nation which never attacked us or threatened us. And it was their President who went to a freaking birthday for John McCain while New Orleans was drowning and nothing was being done.

We can not afford to have our National Guard stuck in Iraq any longer. What is going to happen if a major earthquake strikes California? What is going to happen if summer comes and we have an extremely severe hurricane season? Where are we going to find the National Guard troops to help out when they are truly needed to protect our nation?

Yes, if you support this war then you are opposed to true national security. Let us be clear, in the war in Iraq the US is clearly the aggressor. Our people did not face any credible threat from Iraq and our chimp-in-chief attacked anyways. He told us that if we struck first we would be safer because obviously if you kill a bunch of people off their families won't be pissed at you.

If you support the war you support an endless cycle a violence, you support death, destruction, torture, false imprisonment, and corruption. If you support this war you support leaving America vulnerable if a natural disaster strikes because you do not believe we need to have a Department of Defense that actually defends us rather than killing, maiming and pissing people around the world off.

Yes freepers, Bush voters and Lieberman supporters I will hold YOU responsible if we do not have enough National Guard here the next time a disaster strikes. I will hold YOU responsible for the bodies floating through the city streets like we saw in New Orleans. Bush is not the only one who deserves blame his enablers do as well, so if you support this man you better be able to look the mirror the next time you see Americans not getting the help they need as their homes are destroyed. I hope you can feel the tears of those who were affected by the disaster and know that they are suffering partially because all of our national resources are tied up in your Iraqi massacre to provide for our people at home in times of national crisis.

Yes the next time disaster strikes and we do not have the resources to deal with it we will know who to blame, and we will be vocal about it.

3. I concur.
I hesitate to post every thought I hold re: Iraq invasion. But this is exactly what I have held from the start of it. Our national protection is diminished. The $$ allocated/spent for the invasion is unspeakable. We should have fortified our national protection first and foremost, before any idea of "taking it over there".
I oppose pre-emptive waging of war. That's not to say if this country would suffer a hostile and foreign invasion, this chick would bear arms and use them to defend.
It has become near unbearable to me every day realizing that it is not being resolved, only further fueling the fire.
Instead of the path of righteousness, a path of destruction has been chosen.
I am a Christian believer and a registered Democrat from age 18. My soul is in anguish.

Peace be unto all.

4. Maybe they WANT us to be vulnerable
I would put nothing past those evil people. They want nothing less than total control. Another major disaster in this country would hurt us and benefit them. :scared:
