No Katrina accountability for Bush
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, I wrote the following:
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, no amount of presidential finger pointing – blame gaming – can give lie to the fact that Bush has clearly failed in his most basic duties. And for that failure, he must be held accountable.
Just don't expect his pal Joe Lieberman to do so:
Sen. Joe Lieberman, the only Democrat to endorse President Bush’s new plan for Iraq, has quietly backed away from his pre-election demands that the White House turn over potentially embarrassing documents relating to its handling of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans.

1. Yes, thank you Joe. You're a real great guy.
NOT.

Mark my words: We are going to regret that he still has that seat in Connecticut. This is just the beginning.

4. The Chairman of Homeland Security fails to investigation a breach
of Homeland Security? I think that should be grounds for dismissal.

5. Lieberman has become a party of
one. I have no idea what his platform is. He was called "Loserman" by the right wing during election 2000. Now I know why. I am ashamed that he was once a Democrat. I am ashamed he even exists anymore. Treachery--thy name is Lieberman.
