Good Morning America Glenn Beck: "Ted Kennedy is lying to you"

GMA hire Glenn Beck: "Ted is lying to you"

On the January 11 edition of his CNN Headline News program, host Glenn Beck -- recently hired by ABC's Good Morning America -- told viewers that Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA) "is lying to you" because Kennedy "doesn't want his strategy implemented." Beck cited no evidence for this allegation. Kennedy has introduced a Senate bill that would "prohibit the use of funds for an escalation of United States military forces in Iraq above the numbers existing as of January 9, 2007." Beck asserted that if Kennedy's plan were approved, " and the Democrats would own the disaster in Iraq, not just President Bush," and, "It'll be the Democrats who would be on the hook in 2008, if and when things didn't go well." Media Matters for America has noted that recent polls show that most Americans want troops reduced or withdrawn from Iraq.

Beck also falsely claimed that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY), for political reasons, "didn't say anything about" Bush's proposed troop increase. In reality, as the Associated Press reported January 11, Clinton "said Wednesday that Bush is offering the wrong plan and called for pressure to change that approach."

From the January 11 edition of CNN Headline News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: Now, Ted Kennedy, on the other hand, he has a different strategy for Iraq.

KENNEDY

3. Very poor management at ABC
Faux is losing viewers with their right wing red meat format and ABC decides to follow along with a proven losing format.

5. Beck called antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan "a pretty big prostitute."
He later described her as a "tragedy pimp."

more from Media Matters on this scumbag.......

During a discussion of the "politically correct world we live in," claimed that Braille on walls (used to identify rooms for blind people) "drives me out of my mind." He then said, "Just to piss them off, I'm going to put in Braille on the coffee pot ... 'Pot is hot.' "

Discussing an illegal immigrant who had been accused of killing a police officer in Houston, Beck asked: "Are you kidding me? We're taking rapists out of your country, and you've got a problem with that, and you're shipping killers to us? Please."

After airing a clip from the documentary film An Inconvenient Truth in which former Vice President Al Gore states that global warming could cause many highly populated coastal areas to be submerged by seawater -- including the entire city of Shanghai -- Beck responded: "This is what would happen to Shanghai. Does anybody really care? I mean, come on. Shanghai is under water. Oh, no! Who's gonna make those little umbrellas for those tropical drinks?"

6. The mess in Iraq belongs to the GOP, it's all theirs.
Not a shred of this situation is due to the Democratic party. They bought this quagmire and they own it- lock, stock and barrel.
