2. But, but, but I thought the point of invading Iraq was to fight them over there
so we wouldn't have to fight them over here.

Now Shrub admits he made things worse but insists that he must continue his mission.
George Bush has become that classic example a fanatic, someone who redoubles his efforts
while losing sight of his goal.

3. Yeah repukes said the same thing about Vietnam.
They are just taking out the old lies and making them dance again. Where are the commies from Vietnam that we were going to have to fight here in the US when we left?

Turns out all the commies became republicons. Repukes certainly use the same tactics as Soviet communists.

4. We wouldn't have to worry about it if we actually had "homeland security"
But the Republicans are more concerned about capitalism than about safety it appears based on last Tuesday's 9/11 Commission vote.

5. One has to wonder, how exactly do "they" get here?
Ship, when the US, Russian, and UK fleets own the seas?
Air, when we watch every plane remotely appearing inbound?
Oxcart? Bering Straits a bit of a problem there, as well as passing through Siberia..
Balderdash!
Remember that the USA has always been at war with the Shia and the Sunnis have always been our allies (except when they haven't) and we do know the difference between Persians and Arabs and Arameans (except when we don't).
Hell's bells! I've never had a class in Middle Eastern history, the closest is Ottoman and WWI and II and Modern World Civ, and even I know the basics of Islamic and Middle Eastern history...and geography, too!

6. I think the Iraqi people owe the American people a huge debt of gratitude

Toppling Saddam was not a mistake, however. "My decision to remove Saddam Hussein was the correct decision in my judgment. We didn't find the weapons we thought we would find or the weapons everybody thought he had. But he was a significant source of instability," Bush tells Pelley. "We liberated that country from a tyrant. I think the Iraqi people owe the American people a huge debt of gratitude and I believe most Iraqi's express that."

7. It is fear, fear and more recycled fear. Seems like the USA doesn't
want to be left out of Iraqi peace agreement..and of course the oil. Just reading that the USA is against the required amnesty for solidiers (insurgents who attacked US troops) shows ya that they intend to do anything but leave.

I guess McCain will be running on the fear and war President thing. Cause the war in Iraq will not be over by 2008..that seems the plan. I hope Americans don't fall for it again.
