Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., said today in Greenville that he would seek next week to block President Bush's proposal to send another 21,500 troops to Iraq.

In an interview with The Greenville News, the newly announced 2008 presidential candidate said he is preparing a resolution "that would say there will be no additional troops on the ground until Congress authorizes it. Let's have a debate and vote up or down on this thing."

Dodd was in Greenville to attend a Martin Luther King Jr. holiday event and was to attend several others Monday in Columbia, along with another announced Democratic candidate, Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden.

2. Greenville Where?
OK, I looked at this website and to the Greenville online site and I still have no clue what state Greenville is in.

REALLY! There are folks who live west of the Rocky Mountains who don't know where EVERYTHING is on the east coast!!!!

Forgive us, but we have been out of touch with the East for generations, sorry.

And some cities and towns are duplicates of same-named towns elsewhere in REAL AMERICA (east of the Rockies).

Charleston is a good example! We even have a Charleston here in Outback Orygun!

4. All congress can do is stop funding or go after the original IWR
now that 65-70% of the public disaprove of this esculation, either is now possible. Going after the IWR means proving Bush lied to get the IWR. That would be hard to prove unless you had subpoena power, which the Dems now have.

7. But isn't Lieberman in the position, once again, to stifle those subpoenas?
