WHOA! I think I just figured out what Bush's REAL plan is!

He's escalating the war with troops that are already exausted.

He's trying to expand the war into conflicts with Iran.

He obviously doesn't have enough troops to fight a larger war.

But what else can he do?

Well ...

HE CAN DROP THE BOMB!

THIS is what his TRUE goal is!!!

He's been expanding presidential powers here because he knows he will
need unprecedented power in order to pull this off. No one would support him.

Could this be the surprise 'trick' that he has up his sleeve.

Is this is why he so blatantly continues in the face of everyone in the world and
won't back down no matter what reality confronts him.

He may plan to escalate the war until the only option left is to drop an atomic bomb.
He will show the world that he's not afraid to use nuclear weapons. Also once a
nuclear war has started, the Congress won't be able to take the time to impeach him.
They will have to follow along. If they don't he has all his new presidential war powers
available to prevent them from doing anything.

I've been feeling that something was fishy recently and I'll betcha this is
what it is. It's the one thing that he hasn't brought out in the open and
the one thing he knows no one will expect him to do.

What do any of you think? He's crazy and this is just the kind of thing
a crazy man would do. Is he crazy or am I?

1. I have a different approach.....
There will be all sorts of "evidence" from the illegal raid on the Iranian consulate to support the suspicions about some threat to Israel, who will then bomb Iran.

Iran will lob a few missiles toward Israel, and it's on.

2. I Bet you Are Right
and I wouldn't be surprised if "Iran" does something to provoke an attack soon. Of Course, I think it will actually be a set up and used as an excuse to attack Iran. I could be wrong because I always assumed they would be smart enough to plant WMD's in Iraq and they weren't. I always knew they were evil but I now I think they are totally inept to boot.

5. The neocons' main strength and plan
has always been to control and manipulate the perception of reality, no matter what the reality is itself.

Their grip is loosening on the general population but the majority of their base still thinks that there were WMD in Iraq recently (but moved to Syria) and that Saddam was connected to al-Qaeda. And they are still using the absolute same rhetorical techniques to browbeat the Democrats into submission (and/or irrelevance).

3. So Dubya's been taking foreign policy advice from Randy Newman?
"Let's drop the Big One, and see what happens"?

HOW TO LOSE AN ARMY

Plow deep into Iraq and dare Iran to strike.

by William S. Lind

<snip> . . .The Iranians have said that this time they have 140,000 American hostages, in the form of U.S. troops in Iraq. If either Israel or the U.S. attacks Iran, we could lose an army.

How could such a thing happen? The danger springs from the fact that almost all the supplies our forces in Iraq use, including vital fuel for their vehicles, comes over one supply line, which runs toward the south and the port in Kuwait. If that line were cut, our forces might not have enough fuel to get out of Iraq. American armies are enormously fuel-thirsty.

One might think that fuel would be abundant in Iraq, which is (or was) a major oil exporter. In fact, because of the ongoing chaos, Iraq is short of refined oil products. Our forces, if cut off from their own logistics, could not simply fuel up at local gas stations as German Gen. Heinz Guderian’s Panzer Corps did on its way to the English Channel in the 1940 campaign against France.

There are two ways, not mutually exclusive, that Iran could attempt to cut our supply line in Iraq in response to an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities. . .

6. W wouldn't mind losing
a 100,000 Americans to give him an excuse to nuke a million Iranians, that's coming out ahead in his eyes.

8. I've thought that before too
But the oil would become radioactive and useless to our oil companies. They fucked themselves with their own greed.

9. Nope
That's what they said about Reagan too. That he was a rogue cowboy with his hand on the BUTTON all the time. Never happened.

There is no way this is Bush's plan. It would wreak unimaginable havoc on the world and the U.S.
