Thought during Ford's funeral the # of times they repeated Ford lost the re-elect |
|
because he pardoned Nixon would have sunk in to some of our elected "leaders".
We, the people, respond to strong leaders who do the right thing. 60+% (depending on the poll) don't want the escalation - that's plenty to get you re-elected if you declare the war over or defund it. 70+% think Chimpy is handling it badly with no hope of improvement.
Do the right thing - stop it today. Somewhere between 60 and 70% of the voters are asking you to. Do it, you'll be incumbent for a generation.
Pretend to do something while mouthing the right words for the camera? You'll be out of office next election. We put you there, we'll replace you and keep on replacing until we get leaders who act on our behalf.

1. True! but I thought all the talk about Ford doing right by pardoning Nixon |
|
was deliberately putting a seed in the minds of Americans that we should apply the same logic to bush*. It would be best for bringing this nation together again if we didn't impeach him or file charges etc. I say BS to that suggestion.
