Am I the only one sick and tired of Bush trying to scare us to death |

The SOTU speech isn't the place for his parade of horribles of potential terrorist attacks. It seems that he is always trying to convince us that the world is scary place - something we already know - perhaps to justify his reckless behavior.
And then he oh so smoothly segueways his litany of scary things and people right into the Iraq portion of his speech.
What a demagogue.

1. I'm with you on that one! |

This is a speech full of hot air and nothing else.
He wants to scare us.
I hope the American people are smart enough not to listen.

"Oh, good Lord - what a load of crap!"
She often refers to her "Mother of five voice." Well, right now, she's wearing her "Mother of five" face.

The Dems have to play it to their audience at home - and not all of their constituents hate the president.
A Congressman once told me that he took major heat back at home when the camera caught him scowling during a SOTU speech. He got letters, phone calls, faxes castigating him for being "mean" to the president. He said that ever after, he tried to look as pleasant as possible at all times during the speech so he didn't get caught on camera looking "mean" and he clapped whenever the president said something he agreed with so it wouldn't appear that he was just being an ass when he didn't applaud.
