Who will be the first to question Senator Webb's patriotism today?
We can count on the right wing noise machine to avoid substantive discussion of a failed foreign policy rooted in "conservative" values, ignorance and arrogance. But which white house spokesmen will spew forth the most venom towards Senator Webb; limbaugh, hannity, savage, oreilly? Maybe cheney's daughter liz who has way too many priorities to actually serve her country even though she is still of age to enlist. Maybe congressman mchenry, also of age to enlist but can't because he spends so much time whining that he actually has to work five days a week.

Before the sun goes down someone will lash out vehemently against Senator Webb. I don't know who, but I know from where, hiding behind a microphone.

2. Let them try
He'll squash them like a bug on the sidewalk, just like he did all George Allen's defenders. Remember when they all attacked him for the books he wrote? He stood up and said, "I'm proud of my literary career". Stephen King threw him a fund raiser right after that.

4. the republicons have repeatedly shown that they hate honorable US Veterans
Edited on Wed Jan-24-07 08:18 AM by SpiralHawk
while loving and lionizing military derelicts such as:

Commander AWOL
Dick 'Five Deferments" Cheney
Rush 'Anal Cyst' Limbaugh
Bill 'Creampuff' O'rielly
Sean 'Wimpout chickenhawk' HANNITY

So you can expect the republicons to trash Webb, an honorable Vet with a kid in the service.

That's what republicons always do: trash honorable Vets.

Why do republicons hate our troops, support profit-making mercenaries, and trash our vets?

5. Joe Lieberman?
And I'm sure he'll be Hannity's designated enemy of the week. (Not that he's trying to copy Keith Olbermann's Worst Person in the World or anything).

6. Only a fool would openly attempt Swiftboating Web today. He is the man of the hour.

His is the speech everyone is talking about. He won't be attacked today. I think there will be a conspicuous silence. However tomorrow it will be revealed that he had a secret, illegitimate lovechild with a black lesbian nun.

9. I don't know, but
if anybody does so in my earshot, they'll be getting a damn good Virginia tongue-lashing. :spank: Especially if it's one of those chickenhawks who weaseled out of serving in the military...I don't have a problem with conscientious objectors, but if you're going to "support" the war and then use daddy's influence to cover your ass, you had damn well better not be questioning the patriotism of Jim Webb or any other veteran.
