Kerry supporters: Whats Next?
Edited on Wed Jan-24-07 01:47 PM by Kerry2008
What a day of mourning. I feel like I just walked out of a funeral. I know what some are thinking, how pathetic. But John Kerry is everything I ever wanted in a leader.

Whats next? Who all are you planning to support?

At least Senator Kerry will continue to lead in the Senate. I wish him the very best!

1. Hang in there.
Kerry will continue to lead and fight for what's right for the country... as he's been doing for his entire adult life.

Peace.

3. I urge Kerry to push open governance NOW and expose all the secrecy and privilege
that has thwarted the opening of the books on BushInc that have needed opening for TOO LONG.

I don't care WHO the dust settles on, powerstructure elite in BOTH parties made the world the mess it is in today, and only TRUTH and open books will make this nation and world a better place.

I've already stated my preference for Kerry, Clark and Gore and am sticking to it. Too many coverup Democrats get a free ride these days. I trust these three at this point in time, and I would not have said that about Gore 4 years ago when he was still identified with the Clinton coverupforPoppyBush years.

4. End this war.
Primaries next year. End the war, which Kerry said was immoral as quickly as can be.

People run for office, in some instances, because they stand for something. I think Sen. Kerry was sincere in his regret over his vote in Oct of 2002. I think he is doing all he can to end this immoral and unnecessary war as quickly as possible.

The 'what's next' for me is to help him. I hope he keeps his e-mail list intact and uses it to follow what was his passion last year, ending this war.

5. Time for John to get the investigations going pronto
Edited on Wed Jan-24-07 02:12 PM by zulchzulu
How disappointing...but understandable.

Kerry needs to go full throttle and begin investigations on Bush and Cheney.

On edit:
I'm going to work on seeing about helping Obama get into the White House. That will be a historic campaign. He wasn't necessarily my number two, but on reflection, he is certainly the one I could stand on a cold corner handing out lit and registering names for...

6. John Kerry is one of the best leaders we HAVE.
I look forward to seeing him hold Bush and the rest of goon's accountable for their actions.

Kerry won't be President, sadly. But he can still be the GREAT leader he's always been.

7. I'm getting ready to watch him tear up Bushco in the Senate.
In a way this announcement is a relief. The pres campaign is way to negative already, and I am happy he won't be put thru that crap.

I am looking forward to John Kerry unbridled in the Senate. He is going to do great things.

9. Clark or Gore if they enter.
Otherwise, I don't know. In one respect I'm glad Sen. Kerry won't be put through the meatgrinder again like 2004, but I am really disappointed that he won't be our nominee.

11. I'm glad he didn't have to face the meatgrinder.
Like in 2004, you are right Blue In AK.

But it's incredibly disappointing. I always had back up candidates in my mind, but for some reason when the moment finally came...they just don't seem enough right now.

No one can hold a torch to Senator Kerry in my eyes, I'll be pushing for Gore to run now.

Gore supporters, you can count on my support!

I've never cried over an election until 2004.

Watching Kerry leave that race empty handed when he was robbed was hard, really hard!

10. I do not know who I will support.
Edited on Wed Jan-24-07 02:08 PM by Mass
Among the three tops, Obama is the only one acceptable to me. But I guess I will have to wait and see how things develop. Hopefully, Gore will run, or Clark.

For the rest, I hope Kerry will become one of the proeminent voices of the Senate. We unfortunately need some as we have seen today with both the SFRC and the vote on Minimum Wage. Despite all the compromises the Senate has made, we could not get 60 votes for a cloture vote on it.

15. Kerry's forte has always been investigation
with Democratic control of Congress, hopefully he will be able to take advantage of that. And, especially if we can take all three branches in 2008, I'd much rather he still be in the Senate than sitting at home after a losing presidential bid.

it's not the end of the world...

23. If I were George Bush or Dick Cheney, I wouldn't be breaking out the Moet.
Without the political overhead of a Presidential campaign, Kerry is free to to focus on corruption and this is a target rich environment for him. He could end up convening BCCI-class hearings and that could be the ultimate payback. W. may rue the day he "beat" Kerry in Ohio.

21. I hope Al Gore will enter the race
Without a doubt, Al Gore is the best person for the job.

He is doing great work -- raising awareness about the climate crisis.

He spoke to an audience of 10 000 in Boise on Monday, and is still on Tour! :)

His movie "An Inconvenient Truth" is nominated for an Academy Award.

He is working on his next book "The Assault on Reason" -- due out in May.

He has not ruled out running again and is keeping his options open.

Kerry fans -- come and join us in the pro-Gore Community! :)

Let's all find ways to show our support for Al Gore!

22. I feel sad too,
although, I'm not sure who I'm behind 100% yet. The sadness comes from the way the hovering media and the rest of the jackals tore him apart and the so-called public bought it lock, stock and barrel.

The media manipulates how people think and our media is a fascist bunch of greedy oinkers. I'm hoping this manipulation backfires on their collective ass some way and they still don't get to dictate who our DemocraTIC candidate is.

As Gore can ascertain..being Prez of the USA isn't the fucking end all.

31. Here...I'll apologize
I apologize for standing up for a great leader, a fantastic Senator and one that actually won the election in 2004...but since people like one of Mrs. Clinton's handlers, James Carville (who told his wife about Kerry's plans on Election eve) and Diebold can steal or alter an election, I stand with others who thought he should run and would have been the most qualified to run as well as possibly one of the best Presidents this country could ever have...perhaps America doesn't deserve people like John Kerry as President.

My apology goes out to anyone who thinks that the mainstream media, Karl Rove and tin-foil hatters should decide who is "best" for America. Further, my apology goes out to all those that will probably decide on the next President based on lies and distortion fed to them like month-old dog food...and they lap it up.

I hope this makes you feel better.

But I take no pleasure in Kerry's decision not to run as it relates to my view of him as a political and moral leader in the Democratic Party. I do take pleasure knowing that he would not run, and despite all the signs people were making a hundred threads a day saying he was doing otherwise. Same goes with the Gore people. Kerry and Gore are not running.

You didn't KNOW he was running.

All indications were he was running. And I'm sure until recently, he even thought that.

He made the decision, and I respect his decision in the end.

I refuse to stroke your ego, and say you were right. 'Cause you weren't. You didn't know he was going to back out, no body did. He made the decision.

She just strikes me as the do anything to win type and I don't want that in a president. Too many decisions to make.

I heard Gore will enter the race this summer if she loses her lead or pans out. Sounds to me like a deal was made between Al and the Clintons to give her a chance first?? What do you all think??
