Here's something for the (oxymoron alert) Bush Library. Bush's letter to senate/congress 3/21/03.
Presidential Letter
Text of a Letter from the President to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and President Pro Tempore of the Senate

March 21, 2003

Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:)

On March 18, 2003, I made available to you, consistent with section 3(b) of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243), my determination that further diplomatic and other peaceful means alone will neither adequately protect the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq, nor lead to enforcement of all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq.

I have reluctantly concluded, along with other coalition leaders, that only the use of armed force will accomplish these objectives and restore international peace and security in the area. I have also determined that the use of armed force against Iraq is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organiza-tions, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001. United States objectives also support a transition to democracy in Iraq, as contemplated by the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-338).

Consistent with the War Powers Resolution (Public Law 93-148), I now inform you that pursuant to my authority as Commander in Chief and consistent with the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution (Public Law 102-1) and the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243), I directed U.S. Armed Forces, operating with other coalition forces, to commence combat operations on March 19, 2003, against Iraq.

These military operations have been carefully planned to accomplish our goals with the minimum loss of life among coalition military forces and to innocent civilians. It is not possible to know at this time either the duration of active combat operations or the scope or duration of the deployment of U.S. Armed Forces necessary to accomplish our goals fully.

As we continue our united efforts to disarm Iraq in pursuit of peace, stability, and security both in the Gulf region and in the United States, I look forward to our continued consultation and cooperation.

Sincerely,

GEORGE W. BUSH

Could this have the distinction of bieng the lyingest official document ever written by a president? (And, by written, I mean Karen Hughes, Andrew Card and Karl Rove gave it him to sign). MKJ

1. Wouldn't you love to see . . .
. . . something that he's actually written?

I'll bet he writes at 4th grade level.

He just paid other people at Yale and Harvard to write for him.

I've seen some threads where people are asking, "Is he stupid, or just mean?"

He's stupidmean.

3. Someday, a bunch of us . . .
. . . should go visit his "libary", and have some laffs.

It'll be the biggest display of B.S. in the universe.

I'll bring the Dramamine . . .

6. Since it will consist mostly of photos of him raking brush and Barney
because of the secrecy factor, I propose that ordinary citizens create their version of a Bush library where as much of the truth and the proof can shine light on his legacy.

7. I think that's a brilliant suggestion. A citizens' GWB library. That could
generate a lot of interest! MKJ

8. There Should Be A Virtual GWB Library On The Internet That Tells....
the real story of *'s life and pResidency. With all the research that has been done here by DU'ers it would be the real story. If fact maybe we can get DU to support this effort as part of this website. Wouldn't that be cool?

10. It could contain 'rooms' just like a real museum. Instead of

chronological sequence, it should group 'projects of the administration'.

It would have to have one on the environment and land changes in the country. Within that 'room' there could be a chronological order of how things were ruined for many.

The first thing I remember was the arsenic thing. This room would have to be really big, because we have all the proposals and/or actualities of how they suggested (and then implemented) takeover of our national land for corporations, eminent domain, blindness to global warning until January of 2007 (and then only in words), the super corporate highway through the middle of the country, the sale of the ports (the ports may have to go into a 'security' room along with union busting at the ports).

The biggest section of the environment and land change room would have to be devoted to Katrina - but perhaps that should get its own room with extra space to see how it all plays out in the time he and Dick have remaining to them. This room should let it rip with plenty on the warnings of the NOAH chief and plenty on the Army Corp of Engineers (that collection will have to be really big so that it can be used for the education of our young scientific truth seekers), plus the last known discovery of a body, the religious prisons some of the evacuees were sent to. The Katrina room would have to be super dynamic with plenty of room for expansion. Because soon we are probably going to see the super duper corporate ground breaking for construction of an upscale Palm Beach or Rodeo Drive development on the land where the poorer people lived.

Using Katrina as an example, this museum just can't show the photos of George looking out the window from his aircraft or walking through the rubble of the more safe land to talk to survivors. It has to go behind the scenes, but it must have a very careful time line on response time and it must show how FEMA was downgraded in 2000 under the premise that locals should take care of their own disasters.

As an aside - looking back, it is obvious that many of their plans and directions were laid out well before the election.

Weapon inspections and diplomatic efforts (as per IWR guidelines) WERE proving to be successful. There is no proof that exists to counter that fact.
