Warner and Levin agree on Iraq Resolution. (Rule out cutting funds.)
Think Progress has a post up that says that Sen. Warner and Sen. Levin have reached an agreement on a Resolution that will express strong disapproval of President Bush's plan to escalate the number of troops in Iraq.

From Think Progress: http://thinkprogress.org/2007/01/31/warner-levin-iraq/

What’s interesting is, Senator Warner changed this language to appeal not just to Democrats, but also Republicans. For example, he put language in here that Senator Judd Gregg, the Republican from New Hampshire says that they wants to make clear they’re not going to cut funding for troops in Iraq.

Ah, I wonder what Senators Feingold, Kerry and so forth think about this.

3. This was breaking news around 7:00 pm
There hasn't been, to my knowledge, a response from some of the Dems who are more outspoken on withdrawal and on opposing the escalation itself. Waiting to hear from Feingold, Kerry, etc.

4. I'm thinking Feingold won't go for it.
Not so sure about Kerry.

I AM sure though, that I'm so pissed it is still all talk. You know we are getting reports that we are ground fighting in Iraq with Iranians, the build up on the borders is already there, more on the way. Whats my point? My point is WTF is the point of talking anymore about resolutions against the surge? Its been happening.. and Iran? Already a go.

Our leading Reps AND Senators... need to get together HAVE A FREAKIN' SLEEPOVER and STOP THIS NOW.

5. How quaint. A "symbolic" gesture it is.
Will the resultant death and mayhem also be "symbolic"?

I wish the troops would "symbolically" refuse orders.

Because, it seems, nothing short of that will stop this trainwreck.
