Wesley Clark on Facebook is... |
|
very active. Everyday Clark (or one of his staffers) is writing a note, making a group, or putting out some video. I really like how he is tapping into the youth vote.
However, one gripe. His activities are always published in the "news feed," meaning that everytime he gains a new friend everyone on his friends list sees it. Considering Clark gets about 10 friends a day, I think he should do what other candidates do, and put it on a privacy feature or something. I'm also friends with John Edwards, Barack Obama, and John Menendez but I never see their new additional friends in the news feed. Bottom line, its getting real annoying.

That's what they call it. This is a great way to get to the younger generation. The college students are totally addicted. There is a 'group' called 'Wes Clark for President' http://www.facebook.com

Under your news feed preferences, you can say that you would like to see fewer stories from any user.

Now every candidate is going to have a Facebook group...but let's remember who started it.

Obama may have built the largest facebook group first, but Clark always led in myspace. Big flippin' deal either way. :eyes:

Does it make a difference who started it? Isn't how it ends what counts? I have no clue what facebook is, but...seems to me, if it's in the tech field, it's fair game for anyone to use... wb

No one had a Facebook...or even cared about it before Obama. Now all of a sudden, there's a group supporting him with well over 200,000 college students...NOW Facebook is a must have!! That fan-made group also organized a rally where around 3,000 students showed up to see Obama.

13. And no one mass produced a car before Ford. So what? |
|
So no one is supposed to buy or build a Chevy or Toyota because Ford had the first assembly line? Good for Obama that he has the largest facebook group, good for Clark that he leads at MySpace, good for Gore that he has the most meetups. Good for all of us that Democrats are skillfully networking using new forms of media and organization. It's all Good.

19. Actually Clark's facebook has been around for a year. |
|
The first post on Clark's "Wall" at Facebook was at 1:31pm on January 4th, 2006.
Methinks you need to rethink.

Just remember what happened to Gore when he made his claim about the Internet....might have been true, but wasn't helpful!

And what does Bayh's having a facebook first have to do with anybody copying Obama? Sounds like you're trying to say that Obama is copying Evan.
