I'm trying to find out the estimated crowd for tomorrow as my husband and I are going down and wanted to get an idea of how big a crowd we would be fighting.

14. Well thought out site
It has a blog section as well, where the messages are already mounting. I have not been this excited for a candidate since, well, ever! I am ready to get the word out and fully back this great man, our next President!

2. "Protecting Our Homeland?" Is he friggin' serious?
This whole "Homeland" nonsense is nothing but a right-wing frame taken straight out of the fascists' playbook. Democrats have no business reinforcing that frame in Americans' minds.

7. Easier said than done - the best thing to do is come up with a new term
That's part of George Lakoff's strategy. You never use the language of your opponent to define your campaign and your values, or you'll lose every time. Instead, make the other schmuck play your word game.

its not just the 'opponents' who refer to America as the 'homeland'. and i personally like to not think of republicans as the opponents. as barack says, he has friends in the red states, and so do i, and proudly so.

10. Exactly
The other side feels like they own "patriotism", both in the verbal and conceptual sense. That's got to end.

9. Obama's got a good website.
Edited on Sat Feb-10-07 01:08 AM by Kerry2008
I really like it. I'll be watching tomorrows announcement, and watching the race take shape. Not my first choice, but Barack's vision for America is much needed and I'd gladly support him if he gets the nomination. And if Clark and Gore decide to drop out before they can actually get in, he'll probably get my support!! Obama-mania is running wild!
