Ahhh ..... the old 'Subtle, Insidious Misdirection as Lie' gambit ......
(Disclaimer: I am not an Obama supporter or detractor. I like his pretty much as well as anyone else ... and this post is not about him, specifically).

On MSNBC, they showed him in his encounter with that crew of nut job antiwar protesters who heckled him ...... one of damn few Democrats who can HONESTLY say he was antiIraqWar before antiIraqWar was kewl.

So anyway, they show the protesters and then the newzreaderdujour asks the question "How does Obama do among the Democratic base?" as IF these very few protesters (who were being booed by the rest of the crowd) represent the Democratic base.

Fuck you, asshole. Just FUCK YOU!

2. Okay .... this is a fucking script that's sanctioned ......
Now they're talking with their correspondents in NH and talking about the protesters as if they ARE the 'Democratic base'.

Amy Roeback (or whatever the fuck her name is) is the newsreaderdujour who is currently doing it.

Will this continue all day? Is anyone seeing this on other networks?

3. Very interesting ....
... how one day the 'Democratic base' is the far left war protestors, and most other days its' the centrist 'Bush wanna be' contingent.

Can't the media make up its mind ?
No, wait ... that wouldn't serve their cherry-picking purposes, would it?

:eyes:

4. Now take it easy...cool down. You're already getting worked up.
You know full well pundits will get your dander up. Can't you find something else to watch? How about C-SPAN? The next caller is up before your blood pressure can rise and the subject will change.

5. TV 'journalists' are conservative by nature, and lack political understanding by education
and are careerists, no more, no less.

I blame TV journalists for a great deal of our country's, and the world's, misery. Without them there would have been no Reagan, and certainly no w.

It's not a conspiracy, but it is a sentimental confederacy of dunces.

I'm hoping against hope that the citizen journalists of the web can overtake them in terms of influence.
