There's also this site at WashPost ( http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/), but neither site gets updated immediately... I want to see how he voted right now! (Patience is not one of my virtues...)

17. I think Kirk he is going to vote for the Democrats on this one |
|
And as for the two Democrats that voted with the repukes on the non binding resolution, i'm not sure but I bet all my money that it's Jim Marshall and John Barrow of Georgia. Those two are the most endangered Democrats in the House thanks to Georgia's contreversial mid year redistricting plan and there fightning for there political lives down in GA.

21. His office said he would, BUT... |
|
Many 10th District contituents have been lobbying Kirk's office in person, as recently as last Monday. Kirk's response to all the pressure is to oppose the surge. But Kirk is on the Appropriations Committee, where he could really do something to cut the war funding. That's what people have been lobbying for.
If Kirk doesn't vote down the supplemental appropriation (and it looks as though he won't), there will be an occupation of his office and people will get arrested. That will further tie him to the war, and further assure his defeat next election.
