Al Franken, a Democratic hopeful for U.S. Senate, will bring his newly announced campaign to Nashwauk and Duluth on Friday. Franken, who grew up in Minnesota and who is known as a writer and comedian on “Saturday Night Live” and most recently as a radio talk show host on Air America, will hold a “meet-and-greet’’ event at the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees union hall in Nashwauk from 3-4 p.m. The event is open to the public.
