Our Valentine hearts have disappeared! Thanks for mine, and for this community.

I miss the hearts. They were a symbol of community here at DU, and a visual reminder of respect and caring, and of generous support for Democratic Underground. Thanks to those who gave one to me -- and I hope those I gave to others brightened the recipients' days!

I love posting articles at DU, and being a part of this community. As an individual preference, my "thing," I usually post with no, or little, comment, giving DUers the opportunity to start fresh in a thread with their own thoughts. I'm fascinated by the intelligence, wisdom, passion and humor that comes back to me with almost every post.

I'm active in one of the candidate groups, but I post articles favorable (and sometimes unfavorable) to all the Dem candidates. And I often cheer on their supporters here. Discussion is what we're about here, but, again, just my "thing" -- I stay out of candidate wars.

I'm happy to be able to participate here just as I want, and to reap the great benefits of all the amazing, different contributions other DUers make. Lots and lots of DUers have sung the praises of this community better than I could, and I tip my hat to them -- and, of course, to the admins and mods, and once again, to my secret friends who sent Valentines!

5. Someone wonderful person gave me one the other night and it was such...

a sweet surprise! Thank you so much for doing that for me! I've been here a long time but I don't post much and don't know that many people. I mostly just read the posts, so I was very shocked to get my heart!! I don't know who you are but your generosity made my day! Thanks again!!
