So it' OK for Cheney to criticize the dems out of country but not alright when the Dixie Chicks did

2. The Dixie Chicks never did that

They criticized BUSH - which is a no-no. If they had criticized the Democrats, Cindy Sheehan, etc - that would have been perfectly okay, in their opinion. Hell, they probably would have given the Dixie Chicks a standing ovation for that.

It's hard to talk sense to people who have their hands over their ears, yelling "ya ya ya I can't hear you". Unfortunately, it's an effective tactic. Eventually people leave them alone, and then they get to their dirty work.
