People should condemn Lieberman...ONLY if he actually switches to the GOP
There's no point in figuratively burning him at the stake when he's only intimated at the possibility of becoming Republican. If and when he actually does -- then so be it. But it would be stupidity-times-the-power-of-10 to force his hand by telling him to leave the caucus. Only Republicans want that.

2. LIEberman would be unwise to switch--Dems will gain a wider majority in '08
As a republican, he would be in the minority.

3. but there is so much to condemn. :)
I agree that the next election will sweep him and his little ego into the permanent minority. GO, JOE! Literally. ;)

5. Oh the White Haus is REALLY scared ... KKKarl has gotta be twisting
Joementum's arm ("you OWE us after we helped you win re-election"). They are SOOOOOO AFRAID of allowing the Dems more than a few months of the majority ...

WHAT ARE THEY SO AFRAID OF? (Rhetorical question I know ... )

Prediction: CoCain/LIEberman will be RNC ticket in '08. (Holy Joe will assuage any on the Xian Reich that are still hesitant to endorse CoCain.)

6. Stop making sense!
You're being completely reasonable about this.

My guess is that the chance of Lieberman switching parties is pretty miniscule and not even anything he is even thinking about.

8. I Think the Disapproval Should be Palpably Felt by Lieberman's Office
Joe is free to disagree on Iraq. But he still claims to be supporting the Democratic Party, and using the type of threat he did is grounds for condemnation in and of itself.

He does not need to carry through with his party switch in order to have an important effect on the Senate.

9. No he should be condemned for threatening to.
I remember all the calls not to criticize him until he actually dissed the party's nominee.

Enough of LIEberman's antics.

10. He won't leave because if he does
there is an extremely good possibility a R senator would switch, someone like Snowe who could get all kinds of goodies if she did and help us retain the majority.

He needs to be pilloried from here to kingdom come, 24 hours a day and war with iran is a good reason why.

He is an out of control lying son of a bitch warmonger

11. Maybe he should stop trying to get his way by threatening to switch sides.
He's a bully. Just like the chimp.

I don't like bullies. He is one senator and his opinion shouldn't carry any more weight than any other senator's opinion.

12. I want him to leave the party, he is a stain
David Sirota makes a very good case as to why it would be good for Democrats if Lieberman left the party. You can read it here: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/2/22/17934/5549

The margin of our majority in the Senate is so slim anyways that there is going to be a lot of gridlock as it is, and even if we do lose the Senate we still have the House and in 2008 we can get our majority back in the Senate with few extra seats and the Presidency and Lieberman will be forever hated and marginalized.

I don't want anything to do with Lieberman, I will be cheering the day he goes away.

13. It Is Only a Matter of Time
Lieberman will stay with the Dems as long as he can force the Dems to give Bush** everything he wants.
If the Senate ever tries to stand up to Bush**, Lieberman will bolt to the Repiglican side.
He will CERTAINLY do so before next year, when he wants to run for Vice President as a Repiglican.

Forget all the liberal positions that Lieberman once espoused.
He has tossed aside a lifetime of liberalism to serve the Regime.
It isn't even just about Iraq.
Lieberman supported every one of Bush**'s wingnut judges!
(Sure, sometimes he cast a token vote against, but he was a sure vote for cloture every time).

15. I do condemn him.
He in effect left the party last year. He did it because it was all about Joe and not about the party or the people. It was about keeping the war going at all costs.

I do condemn him and his motives and his actions.
