but they didn't. Why anyone would think this collection of chickenhawks could competently prosecute a war, having no firsthand knowledge of same, is beyond me. The only Republican that would have cred on the issue, Hegel, is a non-starter because he understands how terrible this war is going. They'll not allow their candidate to sober up on this issue.

4. John Wayne was one of the biggest hawks about Vietnam,
but Hollywood got him out of WWII, without his objection. Then he had the NERVE to portray an officer in The Longest Day. :mad:

And The Duke used to spare antiwar protestors no venom, as well, while making that prowar movie, The Green Berets. What a hypocrite!
