Eureka! How About NON-BINDING IMPEACHMENT!!!
It would be the most perfect triangulation in history! The PERFECT middle ground for taking a stand - but not TOO MUCH of a stand - against the most hated President in history, while keeping him in office so they can continue to triangulate against him in the future.

If they do it, I better get royalties.

Wow!

1. I'd rather the Dems simply had their spines surgically removed than
cough up a non-binding impeachment. That's like a non-fatal homicide

3. Republicons probably wish there was such a procedure
I bet Bush will wish that he could veto impeachment proceedings if they are filed.

5. Maybe legislation suggesting they don't let the door hit them on the way out.

Perhaps. You know, nothing too harsh. Just to let 'em know we're perhaps getting our dander up a little bit. Kinda.

9. LOL!
Well, you know, we wouldn't want the door to hit them too hard. Someone might think we were advocating violence or something!

7. Meh. I'm through with non-binding.
Edited on Tue Mar-06-07 11:42 PM by meldroc
Non binding DOES NOT WORK! AT ALL! The psychopaths in the White House have absolutely no shame, and absolutely no conscience. When they see a non-binding resolution, or a non-binding impeachment, or a non-binding anything, they're going to laugh.

The only way you can deal with these bastards is by force. There is no other way. Use the House's power of the purse to cut off his money supply. Create binding legislation that forces him to do things our way or face impeachment. Or go ahead and impeach the sons of bitches. Or fuck it, go ahead and use stronger measures to force them in line. They do not understand anything except force. Fuck "strong messages". Fuck triangulation. Those tactics will accomplish NOTHING!

I'm thinking that when I do my Occupation Project protest next week, I'll see if I can have a restaurant do a catering order of Rocky Mountain Oysters, so I can give my senator that which he lacks...

10. My shorts should be non-binding.
I want the resolutions against this cabal as tight as a new pair of Fruit Of The Looms.

A triangulated, non-binding impeachment.
