we need to press Leahy to subpoena Rove and Miers. They need to go after them all in one fell swoop. Then on to Cheney and *.

after being caught doing other nefarious deeds. It's not like the guy doesn't have a track record...but now he really knows where all the bodies are buried. They need him alive, and close to them at all times.

Or to put it another way, is Rove willing to sacrifice Gonzales to save Rove? It tells what is probably the truth -- Rove is in charge of everything in this administration that Cheney is not running.
Additionally, I am becoming concerned with all this speculation about who will replace Gonzales.
Is Alberto, indeed, going to be just a high level 'fall guy' ... to further a bigger cover-up?
I want to know the chain of conspiracy that fired these prosecutors. If USAttorneys serve at the 'pleasure' of the President, then Bush had to have been involved in their dismissals. In other words, did the President start this effort to get them fired? Or did someone else bring this to him? What was he told as to why they needed to go? Or did someone (Gonzales?) do the deeds, then claim Bush gave the okay?
I'm afraid that all this talk about Gonzales distracts from Bush's necessary involvement.
It looks like if Gonzales resigns, then the scandal is over ... I think that we shouldn't play into that Rovian scenario.

12. We need to make it clear it is too late for that. Rove must go and all the other criminals also. |
|
Someone needs to remind the WH of the meaning of the phrase, "let the chips fall where they may'"
