Motive: Why is Bush being "Adamant about not letting aides Testify" |
|
Think about it. He was not this forceful when it came to protecting Libby.
Is this because Bush new that Libby would willingly take the fall? Is this because Bush personally new that their was really know way to find out that he had a part in it?
His behavior the last 2 days is a forceful defensive behavior. A fighting behavior.
After all he implied it himself that the president has the right to fire prosecutors and install them.
Bush, being the President, HAS to be directly involved. He is not as removed as he was with Plamgate.
Bush has a vested personal interest in subverting and stonewalling the investigation.
He is afraid of the Truth, he's afraid of getting caught. That's why he is subverting it.
Kicking and screaming he will be dragged to foot of Nike.

2. Because Harriet is a WEAK Link |
|
he is much more at risk from Harriet than from Libby. Libby is a gotcha to Cheney but not to Bush.

Likely there are others still there who are appalled. I have a feeling that 'sparse period' of emails will be filled in soon enough. People are already ratting these bums out.
He doesn't want them to be asked horrible questions in public, that have already been corroborated by these folks over at Justice in private, and who will call them liars in public if they have to.
He's gonna try to bully them out of it, or make a deal that it's worst case, UNDER OATH, with TRANSCRIPTS, and NO CSPAN coverage.
Then, on the day of the testimony, he'll fire a few missiles at a nuke facility in Iran.
What story will get the coverage?

4. Rove is the power behind the throne. |

Without him Bush is nothing - LITERALLY. Empty suit, empty head.
Remember, W was a drunken coke-head frat-boy until he was 40, a total failure at everything. Without Karl, he'll return to his previous level of success.

6. The Dems have more info than they have let on to. If they get the principles on the |
|
stand, they will be asking very detailed questions that will require the priciples to either lie and be charged with purgery and obstruction, or they will tell the truth and bring the whole thing crashing down.
And you are right. bush is scared. He's bluffing and stonewalling because it's all he's got.

8. Perjury is an impeachable offense |
|
not that Bush hasn't committed others, of course. The difference in this case is that they know there is more information out there that will nail them if it's revealed. And they suspect it will be.
