Our Top Three Candidates Are All Still Married To Their FIRST Spouse
Obama, Edwards and Hillary are all still married to their first spouse. I'm sure they've all been through their ups and downs (the Clintons rather publicly so), but they've all made the adult choices to stay with the person they committed to years ago.

Contrast this to the Republican side: Giuliani - three wives, McCain - two wives, Gingrich - three wives, Fred Thompson - two wives. Only Mitt Romney, of their viable candidates, is still with spouse number one.

So which do we want to emulate as a country? Republican or Democratic family values?

You'll notice how the Republicans are calling, this year, for a candidates family history to be "off limits" to media debate.

Fat chance, suckahs.

not to sideline ... As for Mitt, he has a bit of the Warren Jeffs syndrome in his genealogy. That will be making the media rounds when the primaries come around. I would just love to see a video put together with all three flipity flopping in the wind. That would do a lot of damage in itself. Who would trust them? Definitely not the fundie right - I think their only real candidate is Duncan Hunter and he doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell.

10. Because conservatives *make* it matter.
Relationships don't always last forever, and sometimes marriage is a mistake. I personally don't care about a person's romantic history, unless it's a clear indicator of an abusive or otherwise f***ed-up personality.

But the "moral values" crowd like to make a big issue out of stuff like this -- as long as it's their opponents who are the sinners.

16. Real men cheat on their wives because they are so attractive and smart
It's a new Repig talking point. Hey, why not. It doesn't sound more stupid than the other talking points.

Ya see...the reason the main Republicans have several wives is becuz they be complicated, attractive individuals who naturally have the wummins wantin' them all the time. Git it, no pun intended.
