They keep talking about 'the statue' as if their hoped for propaganda coup were the iconic moment they say it is. It wasn't then and it isn't now. Lest we forget ....... more here: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article2842.htm(edit to add link)

Today CNN was showing some shots of this square on that day and it was so noticeable how clean it looked compared to shots of it now. The whole city is in shambles and dirty.
From day one the bushies lied and deceived the people. This is the investigation I want to see started, how the hell they misrepresented the reasons for attacking a country that hadn't attacked us. Iraq couldn't have attacked us.
During Shock and Awe they didn't touch the only Al Queda (sp?) camp they Knew was there in the Kurdish area, away from Saddam's control. Could be wrong about the connection between Saddam and that Evil One, can't remember his name, killed about a year ago.

We SHOULD remember the phony Potemkin-like crap they put over on the American (and Iraqi) people. This incident should NEVER be forgotten. They will lie, cheat, steal, rob, pillage, you name it. Nothing is beneath this bunch. This incident proved it back then and nobody paid much attention.
