Can Congress subpoena blackberries and laptops? |
|
to have them forensically examined. If the White House and the RNC and ISP don't know how to find the emails, let the technicians at it.

1. It's not necessarily the Blackberry devices that they need to subpoena (those could have been lost |
|
or destroyed a long time ago) and its actually the servers of the Service Providers themselves (ie. Singular, Verizon etc.) that the subpoenas need to be issued for.
And yes, I believe with high certainty that they can get those servers subpoened and that there are records of all transactions, calls, emails....

2. I know that but its more threatening if they subpoena |
|
something right out of your hands.
So I wasn't asking a technical question, I was asking an escalation question. And I'd expect the laptops to hold things that weren't emailed as well.
