Two days later Rush tells us all about the Tech shooting |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 01:04 PM by underpants
I put Rush in the subject line so you knew what you were opening.
There is no way that I can replicate the downward spiral of confusion that I just heard but here goes.
Seems that Rush has been getting lots of input from listeners about how the Tech shootings show how soft we are as a nation. Cries about how no one attacked the shooter, that in a post-9/11 world we should all be ready at a moments notice to suspect everyone in every situation and be ready to be heroes at a moments notice and so forth.
*I will give Rush some credit-he did state that there were such heroic acts (didn't mention the professor) but that no one knows how they will react in such a situation* He failed to explain to his listeners why "heroes" are called such.
Then it got weird.
See the problem is that this is indicative of the PC world we live in. (insert weird sidetrack about how the left is going to "go after" Justice Kennedy for the abortion ruling but that that doesn't work because the Supreme Court is not affected by such input or even oral arguments but mind you they, the left, will be coming after Kennedy)
It's all PCisms fault. No one ever did anything about Cho because it is not PC to do so and because since he was Asian people were probably afraid of being called a racist plus the PC world of the university and society in general is ....uh okay don't agree with the argument that you disagreed with about becoming "soft"....is GLOBAL WARMING see the students were probably afraid scared to death even of GLOBAL WARMING so they didn't know how to react to someone with a gun because the "driveby media" will focus on guns but will not talk about how many people knew he was nuts and they even sent to the "funny farm" and no one will pay attention to that THEY ARE COMING FOR YOUR GUNS.
Speaking of guns earlier there was another strange side rant about how Sen.Durbin dared make a speech about how judges have been repeatedly attacked and scapegoated by shock radio and some network news. Rush wanted to point out to his listeners that it was the LEFT who continually target judges NOT THE RIGHT and it was clearly him who Durbin clearly was talking about or Fox News who is also a victim here of being...uh identified...no I mean of...uh... okay about how PC did this horrible thing at Tech.

Even if they were only the sounds of bullets we couldn't do it. DARN (I'm serious we couldn't do just the bullet sounds -- Don't ANYONE even try it. You can be prosecuted)

He'd stand up tall and erect and fend the bullets off with his elbows. Then he'd get his trusty sidekick hanniepie to lasso the gunman and drag him off to the sherrif's office, then the two would get in their rushmobile and with a hearty hiho disapear into the sunset.

4. If you analysed some transcripts of Rush's shows, they would |
|
bear a strong resemblence to Cho's plays...juvenile, angry and irrational.

since both are just rabid, masturbatory rants about killing everyone they disagree with

|
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 01:25 PM by LaPera
many guns have been taken? It's a controlling tactic, like abortion & Gay issues to keep their base voting republican...as well as racism, hate and keeping their base in fear of "terrorist" knocking on their doors...Or there would be no republican party and the republican think tanks know this very well and always find new ways to divide and create non issues in each election.

13. The result of a lifetime of people telling him he's right. |
|
He's lost all critical reasoning, and assumes if he can form the words in his head, it must be so.
With Andrea Yates liberals were too PC because they labeled her insane, with the VT shooter liberals are too PC because they wouldn't label him as insane. Professors are too liberal, except apparently the ones who tried to get psychological help for the shooter, and cops are conservative, except the ones who were too PC to follow through on warnings that he needed help... He never even listens to what he says, and he walls himself off from anyone who could tell him how wacko he's become.
But it's PC to not be PC these days, and it's not PC to be PC, you know.

I do hope I can find an audio of this tomorrow. It was (insert word) to listen him attack the world for being PC but credit of all people professors the intelligencia with being the responsible element here.
One thing that I find very funny about all this is that all the criticism has and will be about the individuals in those classrooms and not the community. This IS Bush country so they can't go after the people in the community.
I was going to entitle this "Rush swallows own head trying to figure out the Tech shooting" or something to that effect because the whole thing just causes all kinds of problems with their script.
One last side note-the part about shock radio and the Durbin speech was hilarious because Rush stated that talkradio is the most OPEN field of media and conversation in this country as well as the most................wait for it............................................diverse. He actually used that word.

16. Dang, those macho men of Limbaugh's ilk sure are wimpy |
|
I mean, if "PC" so totally stops them from doing what they proclaim so loudly they believe so deeply in their hearts to be the right thing, they're either wimpier than the PC wimps they denounce, or perhaps they don't really believe . . .

17. The main problem that I see with his "argument" is that a PC professor did do something! |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 02:26 PM by Jim__
She went to the police repeatedly and told them that this student was dangerous. Unless rush is arguing that it's the police that are too PC.

NO MAN IT's SOCIETY'S FAULT MAN!!!
As I stated elsewhere all the criticism of this (there must be some don't you know) has to tiptoe around the fact that this is Bush country through and through....so Rush blames everyone else basically.
