2. Honestly? Obama WILL be president someday.
If not in 2008, then 2012, or 2016, or some other time in the future.

There's just too much potential in that guy.

3. Well said.
Shame that chimp in the WH into doing something to help. It is long overdue.

Well done, Senator Obama.

4. Good response to Bush's really idiotic threat that "if other nations won't, we will"...
I watched Bush say that -- scolding, and slurring his words, and generally acting like he thinks he's still the "leader of the free world" -- and had one of my yelling-at-the-tv moments: "The US is going to respond WITH WHAT? All the troops and equipment are bogged down in Iraq, you idiot!"

I would so very much like to see our troops used judiciously to help out in situations exactly like Darfur, which has festered for far too long. But exactly why does Bush think anyone in the world is going to (a) believe him or (b) follow his lead; or (c) that we still have the wherewithal to get involved in another project?

Bush is effing delusional.

Obama, on the other hand, is in a good position to offer sound ideas and alternatives, which our fellow Murkins need to hear. Bush won't listen, of course, but at least Obama shows he's thinking about foreign policy.
