Sure, it's nice to (try to) see where they stand, but I venture to say there's going to be lots more of these debates, or 'panels' before it's over.
Maybe we can encourage better talking heads to conduct the debate/panel, to make it more interesting?

And did anyone learn anything new?

3. Yes, probably not and yes
Yes, I think it is a bit too early. I also think it is almost mind-boogling how the press says it is too early for these types of things but then to everything they can to push up the time table on it.

Better talking to conduct the debates/panels: Don't count on it. Each network that acts as the primary host (i.e., the one providing the feed to the other networks) will use their own people. We're stuck with the talking heads.

Learning something new: I think Mike Gravel really lays it on the line.

6. Gravel's an honest man which is a breath of fresh air!
Press says it's too early; MSNBC spent ALL DAY hyping it. The ANS magnets must be hating this. :)

4. They are all shoveling the same old shit
except for Kuchinch who doesn't have a chance in hell of being president. I like Edwards but without serious cancer removal, this country is dead. (nothing personal to him-but to all of them!)I hear he didn't stand by Kuchinch on the Cheney thing. Which without TRUTH and open government this country cannot heal from all that's happened. It will just embolden the next president to do more of the same, Why would it not? This government has gotten away with everything-and I've certainly learned to trust none of them. The magic D is not going to save our lives.

8. "Did anyone learn anything new?" Yes, America did, & Kucinich educated them
For any Americans outside of DU listening in to tonight's "debate", Dennis Kucinich gave them an education on how things SHOULD work...from a lesson he gave on how diplomacy is the bottom line to a genuinely peaceful world...to a strong lesson on upholding our Constitution by holding crooked fucks like Cheney accountable for their lies. We on DU might not have learned too much new, but I'll bet a lot of other Americans did, thanks to Kucinich.

13. I REALLY REALLY Like Obama... But He Didn't Do As Well As I
expected. But it's just WAAAAAAAAAAY too early!

I'm sticking with Edwards though, he was composed and I'm glad the "hair" question was posed and now MAYBE it will fade!

I will have to say that I had been thinking that Richardson would have been a good choice for VP. but I was not happy with how he presented himself at all! Right off the bat he made that "blow dry" comment and it seemed a bit shallow!

Clinton didn't make any real major flubs, but I didn't think she was any better or worse than usual.

BIDEN was probably the best tonight though. But looking for someone that will be able to get elected I don't think MSM will give him his due! It's too bad, because he was most definitely better than Obama and Clinton and he seemed very comfortable in his own skin.

Edwards was calm and focused, and even if some didn't like his pause about who he admired, I think he showed some honesty because he thought about it before he blurted out something stupid like "Well, God is who I talk to all the time!" Others may disagree!

Kucinich is the best when it comes to the war, but he got a little to strident for me. I still think good things about him, and admire him for speaking his mind. He too won't get any credit and won't get elected either.... IMO!

14. It should separate the "men" from the "boys."
Clark was doing okay in prez run previously.....until he had to debate. It just wasn't his thing. (I say that with love...I was a supporter of his and contributed to his campaign.) But he just couldn't do it. His campaign was pretty much grounded after that.
