The Debate: I thought the questions were slanted to make Dems |
|
look bad. I was screaming at the TV - "why are they asking about Edwards haircut or Biden talking too much......." So, I don't know when the neocons have one of these but will the questions start out: "Rudy, you're a real American hero. How does it feel?" "John, you were a war hero. Can you save America with your bare hands?" "Mitt, you are a man of God and a business success. Will you need four years to save the country?" "Gov. Huckabee - will you be able to deliver our country to God?"
Jesus, I heard Williams was a Limbaugh fan. Did drugRush help him with the questions? Sorry had to vent. Am I the only one who feels this way? I'd much rather see John Stewart ask the questions. At least they would cover real issues.

the questions in these debates are ALWAYS meant to be challenging. Unfortunately, it's too easy to just use the other side's talking points instead of really asking probing questions.
But I don't think the intent is to make Dems look bad - the Republicans will have Democratic talking points thrown at them, too. It's what passes for serious questioning these days.

6. It's probably not a bad way of vetting the candidates either. |

If a candidate can't gracefully handle such dorky questions, how can they be expected to deal with the RW smear machine during the primary?
Of course I want to hear them speak on substantive topics at much greater length, but it's important to see how they respond to the slime.

7. Repuke debate: Rudy: Is it true you're a cross-dresser? How does that square w/ the religious rt? |
|
McCain: Is it true that george bush promised you that you could have the repuke nomination if you kissed his ass?
Romney: How many sperm in how many wives does it take a Mormon to make a baby Mormon?
Not a chance in hell the repukes would ever face questions like that. Why? Because the repukes own the media. The media is nothing but a propaganda arm of the republican party.
