So I met the lady again that I talked to yesterday
folks in some csses there is no ammount of data that we can give that will persuade somebody to change their point of view. She was in NYC durng 9.11 so I am entitled to my opinion that the Air was dirty (it was), and that the FDA and the NY City authority declared it clean

It is also my opinion that the command center was placed in the WTC, never mind every security expert recomended the Command center for the city be moved out after the FIRST attack in 1992.. that is my opinion

Oh and she did ask about Obama, and I finally asked, so what is Rudy's plan for National Health Care, since she believes we need one.

She could not answer it since Rudy "america's mayor" has none

I also told her how I choose candidates and that these days any candidate at the federal level, but especially at the level of the President, must pledge to follow the party platform so how can she justify voting for a Republican, even Rudy... when the Republicans have created all these problems

The cognitive disonance was a marvel to see, but the disconnect is there and am afraid this is just one more example of belief clashing with reality

Oh and how do I choose a cnadidate? I go to tehir website and study it

I then check their voting record

And so far I am leaning between Edwards and Obama, though Gravel did impress me yesterday so that will be a webstie to study over the next few days... his taxing system (flat tax) is giving me pause... but his record in the Senate 25 years ago was exemplary.

1. Flat tax is a dealbreaker for me.
It's a horrible idea.

2. I know but I have to go through it
since he seems to use some other way to do it, which sounds worst than the current IRS code, which is broken... mostly due to all the exclusions

In that he is correct...

Alas I look at all candidates before I make my decision, I am careful (and I know I am not the usual either)
