Ok so we have this wingnut money Guy who is also a radio host and he's good buds with the Doolittle's, Rush as well, so anyhow Tom Sullivan (rw host) has the Doolittle's on his radio show today and he's being all sympathetic and "you're being so wronged!" and "I so feel your pain" and what not, right after the interview he says this to the local paper--and i swear i almost peed.

Sullivan would consider running for Doolittle's seat

By David Whitney - Bee Washington Bureau
Published 11:44 am PDT Thursday, May 10, 2007

WASHINGTON - Sacramento radio host Tom Sullivan said Thursday he will "seriously consider" running for Rep. John Doolittle's House seat if the beleaguered Roseville Republican were to resign because of the ongoing federal investigation into the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal.

"I've had a lot of calls," Sullivan said in an interview. "I don't know what to do. I will seriously consider it."

Sullivan considered running in 2004 for the 3rd congressional district House seat after Doug Ose announced his retirement, but decided not to. That seat was won by Dan Lungren, California's former attorney general. But at the time, many insiders thought Sullivan could have won the Republican primary.

Doolittle has said he will not resign from the House but Republican insiders are beginning to wonder if he will be able to raise the kind of money it will take to fight a likely challenge by Democrat Charlie Brown, who came within 3 percentage points of beating him last November.

Since then, the federal investigation of Doolittle and his wife Julie into their relationship with Abramoff has heated up considerably. Doolittle acknowledged in an interview on Sullivan's afternoon show on KFBK radio Wednesday that federal prosecutors tried to get him to plead guilty to a crime last month, and then when he refused the deal, executed a warrant to search the couple's house in Oakton, Va.

1. It seems that Tom doesn't really believe that Doolittle is innocent
If Doolittle resigns and Sullivan runs, Charlie just has to point out how close a friend Sullivan is to Doolittle, and how they are all the same.

I was so hoping that Charlie takes that SOB down last year. I can't believe what idiots we have in our district.

WASHINGTON - California Congressman John Doolittle already is under scrutiny in the Jack Abramoff congressional corruption case. Now he's accusing the government of trying to intimidate his wife to get him to admit to committing a crime.

Doolittle says FBI agents searched his home to put more pressure on them after he wouldn't admit to anything.

The Republican congressman made the comments on "The Tom Sullivan Show" in Sacramento, California. The Justice Department has declined to comment.

Doolittle's wife runs a bookkeeping and event-planning business from the couple's Virginia home. She had done work for Abramoff, who has pleaded guilty to conspiracy, mail fraud and other charges for bilking his Indian tribe clients out of tens of millions of dollars with promises to influence the decisions of Congress and the Interior Department.

Doolittle was friends with Abramoff and accepted campaign money from him.

4. he is so done and i'll be amazed if they don't get his wife on bribery and money laundering charges.
the more he claims it's the FBI just waving their dicks around the worse it's going to get for him. I wonder how many of Doolittle's phones are tapped.
