I just prefer Obama or Edwards and probably will stay home if they don't get the nomination. Still, I have no problem kicking this up for you if it makes you happy.

19. What a sad commentary
To each his own, but allowing a President Romney or Brownback due to disatifcation with our party's nominee seems extreme in today's world. If Hillary is the nominee I will be happy to support her ... the same with any of the others running.

23. Don't do that...
To be honest, I'd prefer Clark be our candidate, and if he doesn't enter I don't know who i will caucus/vote for at this point. I know it probably will not be Clinton or Edwards, but even if one of those two were to get the nomination I would still vote for them.

I vote for someone too, but I also understand that the D next to the candidates name means he/she should be more likely to go along with the Democratic Congress.

47. So, I guess you are saying you wouldn't vote "against" Bush, then
Is there anyone you would vote "against"? I know it's not "feel good" to vote against something rather than for it, but when peoples lives are literally on the line adults do what is necessary, this isn't a happy trip to Disneyland it's a vote in a Democracy. There is a war going on and we are one of the few world powers left who can have an effect on the rest of the world. And what about your own rights and your own life in this country?

wtf kind of logic is this? Why do you bother with politics, to make you feel good if your guy wins?

If she wants a conversation with America she had better realized that conversations have at least two interlocutors.

27. See my post above (#26) regarding your candidate's efforts to stifle discussion.
It kind of reminds me of Chimpy's staged town hall forums in 2004, where all the "citizens" and questions had to be pre-screened. Fuck the "freeptards" ... This isn't about them. Do only "freeptards" oppose Hillary's presidential pursuits? If you think that, you really are delusional.

The content is decent. However, I don't think her biography is foreign to most voters...no matter how they try to reinvent her.

CBS's actions because what was being said was ghastly and those racist bastards don't deserve a national stage.

Clinton's action because you can still have a conversation while ignoring the asshats. And if you look you will find comments critical of her (that video has only been up a day or so)

Let's see what the conversation entails with the youtube community unmonitored.

Here are the most recent comments to an Obama's announcement video.

WAKE UP, SHEEPLE. Read about U.S. historic use of CIA covert ops to overthrow democratically elected governments throughout history (IRAN,IRAQ,NICARAGUA,HONDURAS), find out who benefits from war ("Money Masters" on google video), read about Alex Jones predicting 9/11 (PNAC and Operation Northwoods), watch some Chomsky vids, and finally Ron Paul on the House floor (watch?v=aewpvcxAwTk). Democrat or Republican, they're all war-mongering big-government Fed cheerleaders.

I'm Obama, my plans for 2008 are to run blocking for Hillary. I'm going to spend the next 18 months collecting a lot of money to spend anyway my campaign decides, which means I'll be living friggin large. By election day, I'll be hit with Big Media wave of Hillary support and I'll go back to being groomed a perfect stooge, and I'll have plenty of loot to make my way through a Political carreer. Win or lose, I win.

If there were no relationship between them and this was just the former President of the United States making this video, it would still be to tremendous benefit to the candidate.

The fact that he is her husband, and will be up there on the stump with her, out campaigning for her.... all through this...

Let's just say I would never want to run against a former President who would be de facto back in the White House at a time when a lot of people would give it back to him in a heartbeat.

44. I would call it more of a "wild card" in the hole. His public support is not a sure fire assert.
It will appeal to some and turn off others. It could remind people of the the old stodgy stench of partisanship and scandals of the 1990s, the severe "charisma gap" between Bill and Hill, the fact that democracies and dynasties (BushClintonBushClinton) may be incompatable...and so on.

53. I think it will be, especially in the primaries
For those who aren't actively for another candidate or are just undecided, having Bill up there stumping for Hillary is definite advantage among rank and file Democrats, who generally love Bill. Yes, there is a charisma gap, there is between him and just about everyone.

But it will remind them that a vote for Hill is a vote for Bill, just like when he ran the first time, two for one. It's not at all a bad sell if you aren't sold on any particular candidate. Yes, it's not "someone new" but by the end of the primaries when people start the actual voting, no one is new anymore, it's too long a process. They will all be bloodied and bruised by the end and their worst weaknesses will be exposed. We all already know the Clinton's weaknesses, it's not going to be some great revelation. If it matters enough to someone, they have already made up their minds.

56. I will ammend this though....
Looking at that thread about the media attacking Clinton as the great Scandalizer again, now that he is more actively involved in her campaign.

If they crucify him all over again to the point were people are getting flashbacks to the 90's with the unending attacks against Clinton that will be a negative.

What the media described as "Clinton fatigue" was everyone being sick and tired of them and the republican scum attacking him 24/7. They are still capable of doing it, because they are the lowest forms of life.

Probably not...

Meanwhile NAFTA still destroys our country...China gets to get a free pass with trade issues... the Telecommunications Act makes our news even more corporate and limited... let alone the fact that the greatest unifier of a Republican voting base in 2008 is having not one, but two Clintons back in the White House. I'd burn a flag in protest, but it seems Senator Clinton wants to make that a federal crime...yeah, the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights is overrated... ;-(

Yes indeed, and our cats do right by using their litter box.

I encourage them too. Go Kitties!

65. Here's Obama's Myspace page. Funny I don't see any negative comments.
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=184040237&MyToken=13b7bc52-bc30-409b-bd97-e24b89fab6c6

And shockingly they hold to right to approve comments before posting.

Why they must be scum in your eyes!

71. MySpace is not youtube, silly. You know that, right?
First you try the CBS comparison and now MySpace? When you find Obama's campaign has censored comments to an official video posting on youtube, then i'll criticize them just the same. Though i wouldn't refer to them as "scum"...

74. The CBS comparison was to give reasoning
The myspace community had to do with this line of yours

"If they are posted to an internet community like youtube, they should and they do"

Earlier in this thread I posted an example of an Obama youtube clip (it was his announcement podcast) with mostly juvenile hit and run and/or nonsensical comments.

In fact I would encourage the Obama campaign to start approving comments. Not to filter out negative commentary but I think they could do without comments like these found on the vid intro'ing Michelle Obama

"If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U. S. membership in the U.N.; no gun control; and no foreign aid. We would have no welfare for big corporations, or the "poor"; No American troops in 100 foreign countries; no Nafta, GATT, or "fast-track"; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; and no income tax.

VOTE FOR DR. RON PAUL 2008! "

"How could he be doing all that back then. He was too busy snorting coke and smoking weed"

Oh and there's a few spam comments.

82. I see your point, rinsd. Shame that we are surrounded by such nere-do-wells but the price
to be paid for democratic "discourse." What's the alternative? To screen out all non-positive comments strikes me as totally disingenuous, and dis-jointed from the "conversation" image the Hillary campaign strives to project.

That is of course from the great wisdom of "jeffersondem". It's seems that anyone that post a supportive comment is a "sheep". But those wise and great minds that stomp over and post negative things are patriots! O' hail the mighty minds that are the knee JERK Hillary bashers.

would wake up and get behind her,
the election would be a cake-walk

I hope millions of people, especially women, get to watch this incredible video.
Hillary is brilliant. Period.

Bill does an amazing job, and he looks fantastic

87. Well progress is being made
Just a few short months ago, any poitive thread

about Hillary, was sure to bring an avalanche of hate

It has improved by at least 50% and will continue.

In the end, she will be an amazing president

83. I think it is very important to know about our candidates and their
past accomplishments. Hillary is a brilliant woman and would make a fine president. Did those of you objecting so vigorously even watch the video? Hillary has been a spokesman for the poor and the children of the country and the world. She has been a fine senator. Why might she not be a top tier president? I am personally going to not only vote for whichever dem my fellow dems choose to run for the presidency, I am also going to work my buns off to be sure the dem wins. I guess some of us do not have a care about what 8 years of Republic control has done to the world. the earth and the USA. We owe our fellow man and our fellow creatures on this small planet a democratic victory in 08 across the board. Anyone who thwarts that effort is a loser in my book!
