Newt Gringrich rudely hangs up on Diane Rehm |
|
On this morning's show, Newt committed to an hour. But he chickened out after 40 minutes, when Diane was about to go to the phones for listener comment.

3. He was probably afraid that someone would ask him to clarify about his |
|
affair with an employee while his wife was being treated in the hospital for cancer. You just can't get much scummier than that.
I'm surprised that ANYONE still gives a shit what this man thinks or says. That goes double for Tom DeLay.

5. Diane was steaming about too! |
|
"The more I think about it... the madder I get..." :D I feel sorry for her. She like the most couteous person on the courteous network. :eyes: She said that after having to freelance field calls for the rest of the hour. Newtie is such an ass.

I tuned in about five minutes after that. I thought Gingrich had at least told Diane at the beginning of the show. I can't believe he just panicked and ran.
I have never heard Diane Rhem so steamed, or speak so badly about a guest.

7. Act of a coward. 'Know' him. Unless we hear something from him |
|
that proves that he specifically told her that he wouldn't take calls. He is all mouth and little decency. One of the arrogants.

10. I heard Diane introduce the show with Newt, and ... |
|
quickly switched my dial to the jazz station. The jazz was good and stayed true to its commitments.

12. You have to do something really rude to get Diane ticked... |
|
She is possibly the most polite talk show host in the U.S....not that she doesn't ask tough questions, but she is scrupulously fair about how she asks them, and in giving people time to respond...
