Question Regarding Greg Palast
I have noticed a lot of stuff by this guy being posted on these forums. Is he telling the Dems on the committes who might be able to do something about all of this or everyone but? Also, was he right or wrong about 2006? This is not meant to impugn his credibility, I just should feel it would be more helpful if he told this stuff to directly to people like John Conyers and Patrick Leahy.

2. Palast is a journalist, not a congressional staffer....
What makes you think he has Waxman's ear to any greater degree than any other journalist? I'd be willing to bet that Waxman's staff reads Palast's reports.

3. Good point.
It sure feels like the Dems are unaware of this sometimes, though, so I hope they're paying attention.

6. Palast claims he has 500 rove emails -
Is there a good reason as to why he's not turned them over to Waxman? Does he need to be subpoened in order to do it?

7. I doubt he needs to be subpoened -- but I'm sure he would want them USED
He's uncovered a lot of crap on both parties. And you also want to factor in the very real possibility that some Dems might NOT want to give him airplay in the States, because of his previous reports.

He has a website, you might want to email him and ask him about the emails.

His books are eye-openers.

4. Hmm. . . internationally renowned journalist, writer for the "NY Times". . .
the BBC and the Observer (among many), best-selling author of books whose topics are a primary concern to topics currently under investigation by both Conyers and Leahy. Agree with him or not, he's definitely a voice to contend with, a man whose ideas and investigations warrant consideration by anyone even marginally concerned with the issues he covers.

Way I figure it, if Conyers and Leahy (and a host of others) aren't reading him already, they and their staffs are too far out of it to be influenced by anything anyone might say directly to them (and I don't see that).

8. could you be thinking of the Prison Planet guy?
The one who does occasional bits on KO? He is supposed former CIA, But I don't recall Palast claiming that.
