Those twits at the Opinionjournal....
They wrote this:

http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110010084

"So, rather than arguing the legal merits, Democrats are spinning a yarn about shady deeds perpetrated in a hospital room at night. They are using half-truths to achieve a partisan goal that is dangerous policy, and they shouldn't get away with it.

I had to respond:

You're soooo right. They shouldn't get away with silliness like public hearings!

That would be Stalinist! To have public hearings on the activities of administration officials who would spy on Americans even though there's not been a war declared by Congress against anybody. Stalinist!

What nerve! What chutspah! How DARE the Democrats determine that the White House counsel to the President made an end run around the acting AG to get a weakened Ashcroft to sign off on an patently illegal order! How DARE THEY!

Why, don't they realize that the President can break any law he wants to, so long as he says '9/11' three times before breaking it?

They must be stopped!

(Kudos to the Opinionjournal for showing us which side of the law and order debate they're really on.)

2. "Spinning a Yarn"
Did not a young man raise his hand, swear to tell the truth and laid the yarn out for a congressional committee? Spin indeed.

Half truths to achieve a partisan goal. Those wacky dems, they should learn from republicans where truth is not half, but irrelevant.

I have an opinionlog right here for opinionjournal.
