I Called Our Entire Congressional Delegation Today.
All 4 of them!

Susan Collins' office couldn't get me off of the phone fast enough. They told me that she was watching the bill very closely. They hung up when I told them that WE were watching HER very closely. I didn't get the opportunity to tell them that this is the kind of vote that makes an "untouchable" senator a prime target (right, Lincoln Chaffee?).

Olympia Snowe's office said basically the same thing. At least they let me finish speaking.

Tom Allen's office told me that he was likely to oppose the bill. I reminded him that a nay vote
would look very attractive to we who will be picking a nominee to run against Collins next year. We live in Allen's district, BTW.

Mike Michaud's office made me proud. I was told IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that Rep.Michaud would NOT support this supplemental bill. I told the aide with whom I spoke that he may feel free, them, to consider my call to be one of support and encouragement. My family and I met Michaud on 2 occasions in 2004. I always introduced my son (4 at the time) as his successor. At a later time when I met him by myself, he asked me "Wheres my successor?"

I'd be curious to see what some of your experiences were.

PEACE!

1. Good on you!
Shamefully, I can only afford e-mails...but e-mail I did. From what I am seeing/hearing/reading, my Il Rep. Hare (Lane Evans' successor) voted "no" but Durbin  yes. WTF is going on with our country? As I said earlier in another thread, I am to the point where all I can muster is so very many tears.

...and all of them for those who will die for halliburton without a decent pay raise.

3. Hare's a good man
He does Lane Evans proud and you people in Illinois 17 are lucky to have him. Btw, do have any links as to who voted which way? I have to find out about Harkin and Braley. Thanks.
