What the heck is wrong with Conyers? When he had a chance to question Goodling
he blew it! No follow ups ? No getting to the bottom of anything? What is wrong with him? I thought he was going to be a pitbull but he basically let her walk! I lost a lot of respect for him.I thought he was better than that!

1. He did say that the committee would ask her questions in writing
and that her immunity would stand for a period of time for her to answer the questions.

I agree that the hearing was very odd in the way it was run. Allowing all the Repugs to make political statements that had nothing to do with the purpose of the hearing. Perhaps the House Rules for hearings are different fromt he Senates...but Leahy didn't put up with the kind of posturing and bloviating that Conyers did. On several occasions Conyers was given the "time warning" by a committee member when he seemed befuddled about how much time was left to a committee member. The whole hearing was handled as if it was "spur of the moment" rather than one that had been worked on for weeks...if not a couple of months. Maybe he has some health problems?

3. Yeah ,I wondered that too. But in writing doesn't provide public transparency

and is much less likely to get a nervous admission.She will vet everything she answers with the WH and her lawyers.What a crock this is!
