No one understands the treachery of a White man better than the American Indian!

1. I believe that's a direct lift of Corsi's article at WorldNetDaily

3. Check this out
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55824

If it's not word for word, it's awfully close.

4. It is writeen word for word - I saw Corsi's copy after I saw the Matthew Hine - Opinion
Check out my column and you will see I give the Opinion column as the source with a Matthew Hine byline. Maybe Corsi lifted it from the opinion column.

5. Somebody lifted it from somebody
I'm not going to point fingers, but Corsi's was dated May 23 and the other one was dated May 24, from what I can see.

6. My purpose in using that copy in the first place - it is well written -
is to get Native Americans to understand if Bush applies his directives, tribal sovereignty is in jeopardy which may not mean anything to you but it does to me.

9. Actually, when I saw the parts about tribes I was appalled
That made me even more nervous than it would have otherwise, I think. Why go to the trouble of spelling that out. I took a lot of heat from some people here and at DailyKos for using Corsi as a source -- he was responsible for the Kerry Swiftboating. A lot of people think this is much ado about nothing, but I disagree.

7. True, but I'd be curious to see when it was in print, as opposed to online...
Jerome Corsi has been accused of plagiarism before.

8. As I stated I got the copy from a DU post - can't remember the day
Maybe last Sunday. I thought it was well written and would grab the attention of Native Unity readers. I sent a copy of the Bush Directives to my friends at Western Shoshone Defense Project, who are Native American activists, and they were unaware of the Directives. That scared me into action to get the story in the column. To get out the word as fast as possible. I only hope it is working.

Sorry to say, I have never heard of Jerome Corsi until today. I briefly saw his story but paid no attention to the byline.
