Poll question: Some candidates seem to think they can win by what they say, not who they are. |

Are they right?
"Poets, priests and politicians Have words to thank for their positions Words that scream for their submission And no one's jamming their transmission 'Cos when their eloquence escapes you Their logic ties you up and rapes you
De do do do, de da da da Is all I want to say to you De do do do, de da da da Their innocence will pull me through De do do do, de da da da Is all I want to say to you De do do do, de da da da They're meaningless and all that's true."

1. Win? They don't win my vote that way. |

They will win many others. There are always plenty of people who choose their candidate based on the speeches they are giving now, rather than what they've done on those issues in their careers.
Personally, I don't understand why so many people are so eager to believe what they hear, rather than what they've seen.
