Newsweek - Fred Thompson: Not So Conservative?
Fred Thompson: Not So Conservative?
The right has a crush on Fred Thompson, but his own papers suggest he is less conservative than they think.

3. Conservative now means making sure the class divide grows
all the rest is just a series of lies they tell people to get them to vote for them. If it doesn't involve moving money and power into the hands of a few it isn't a republican value.

4. He doesn't sound like the republican candidate - he would want to run his own administration
and they, those that truly run the presidency, won't allow that again. The real President Bush tried that and they only let him serve one term.

As far as those that vote republican, they will vote for whom ever they are told to vote for. They learned their lesson after Peroit, they won't be allowed to forget that again. Liberals who think for themselves and want to do what is right sometimes can't seem to get this straight.

5. Does that mean he is a "Compassionate Conservative"?
It is starting to form. The media packaging right wing extremism as moderation. Worked with Bush. Now, let's see how that theme is developed again.

7. There's so much this article omits
his second wife who is younger than his own daughter
his rented pick-up truck to make him appear like a down home type
his decades as a washington lobbyist
his draft dodging during the vietnam war
the fact that he's the ultimate washington insider
his only jobs ever being lobbyist, politician and actor!

this is a puff-piece:puffpiece:
