I Don't Want To Unduly Alarm People - But..........
listening to this news coverage of the London car bombs(squibbs)and now the Glasgow airport drive-in I heard some talking head on one of the cable news channels take note that this is coming on the heels of a change in government in the UK.

Is this all preparation for *Co to stop the '08 elections for fear we'll be attacked?

1. You Should Have Heard The Anger On Washington Journal This AM!
Lots of people called in saying they think it's The Idiot and his HENCHMEN all over again!

Some aren't buying it, but it's the FEAR thing all over again! Who REALLY knows? When you CRY WOLF so many times, it's so very complicated to figure out!

What a sad state of affairs, and these people have broken EVERY rule in the book!

2. Reporting for duty
"George Bush is the President. He makes the decisions, and, you know, it’s just one American, wherever he wants me to line up, just tell me where. And he’ll make the call." -- Dan Rather, "liberal," Sept. 18, 2001

Halting elections might even alarm some Rethugs, unless of course we're all utterly terrorized. A better scenario is to "elect" (thank you, electronic vote tabulators!) a president who seems to be much better than Bush, but is actually as bad or worse. Remember how many people heaved a sigh of relief once Ashcroft was gone? Ashcroft was dangerous, but he was also a caricature. Gonzo is even more dangerous. But except for his absurd bouts of amnesia, he superficially seems like less of a loony tunes.

Assuming there is a transition, the transition from Bush to his successor will be similar.
