two signs of why i think Bush is toast
1-despite right wing raving about how Clinton and Reagan had low approval ratings at one point, no incumbent has ever been reelection since 1948 who lost ANY Gallup poll against their eventual opponent in the calender year of reelection. Kerry has beat Bush in a few Gallup polls. While having low points, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, Johnson and Eisenhower all beat their opponents in every Gallup poll the year of the election.
2-The last incumbent to be narrowly reelected was Woodrow Wilson in 1916. Every other reelection has been an electoral landslide. Bush won't be winning in a landslide.

2. That may be true but
if this Kerry affair heats up by the media, the bush talking heads will hammer this adnauseum on the talk shows to get his ratings down. It's still a long haul.

5. To quote my husband on another thread...
"As long as the economy sucks, then these "moral" issues are irrelevant. Everyone knew Clinton was a skirt chaser (even me, and I love the man!). We still elected and reelected him.

This story has no legs. Unlike Lewinsky, this woman doesn't appear to be a scorned lover having lunches with Linda Tripp. Without her statements to the affirmative or DNA evidence, there is no there, there.

While her parents don't like Kerry, he asked her to join his campaign and she declined. Even if they did have an affair, she would have to have strong motivation to bring it out in the open.

Sorry, but as long as Americans are losing jobs, this story will go away, as long as Americans are dying in Iraq, this story will go away, as much as El Rushbo and Matt Fudge wish for it to hang around it will go away. America faces far bigger issues than John Kerry's penis."

3. My Rush loving brother
Gave me a call and is making an effort to distance himself from his once firm support of the Bushinator. You think I am excited that the dam is coming down...I'm freak'n elated...I may have ONE of my brothers back!
