What will Obama do for Hawai'i?
specifically, how would his presidency help the people of Hawai'i?

2. People on the mainland never hear what the issues we struggle with every day
they are

1. Affordable housing... real estate prices are obscene and the locals can not afford to home a home. Plus unlike the mainland we can not just load up the car and move to another county where it is cheaper. We are the most isolated part of the world (excluding Antarctica).

2. Hawaiian nationhood. We of non-Hawaiian blood live in a host culture that was overthrown by the us government. Native Hawaiians have no "native" rights unlike American Indian tribes.

3. Endangered habitat. We have more endangered species than anywhere else in the world!

8. Seeing that is where he grew up and his family lives there, I'd think he'd care about it

this is one candidate who would not forget about this state as it's his home state.

10. Hawaii does have a unique set of circumstances
Well aware of your housing pricing issues, and many natives that need to flee to the mainland to survive.

Tough place to raise a family I am sure, not many job opportunities other than service industries or shipping.

What would you like to see done to support Hawaii?

11. Stat with some recognition that we do have issues that need attention
Public recognition can help get the ball rolling
