Poll: Clinton vies with Obama in Illinois
Sen. Barack Obama has the home-court advantage among Democrats in Illinois, of course. That is, of course, unless Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is within the margin of error on his heels.

That's the reading from American Research Group, a Manchester, N.H.-based polling company which surveys voters in many states.

The senator from Illinois is the favorite among 37 percent of the likely Illinois Democratic voters surveyed, and the senator from New York the favorite among 33 percent.

The possible margin of error in this survey of 600 voters conducted Friday through Monday is plus or minus four percentage points.

3. I get it. Obama was born in Hawaii, so Illinois is actually CLINTON'S
home state!

Where is Obama actually doing good? If not in the State he is a Senator from?

10. Right now it looks like SC or bust for Obama
He is from neighboring Illinois but has never led in Iowa, HRC has solidified her lead in NH, Obama is not gaining ground in Nevada, and Obama leads only in SC and Illinois despite all the media hype and money he has raised. The question is how strong will Obama be when they get to SC? He looks heading to a 3rd or 4th place finish in Iowa. What would that do to his momentum in NH and NV? He is not going to win SC without decent momentum.

Someone will obviously point out that Edwards is in a similar position (leading only in Iowa, Oklahoma, and North Carolina). That is true. However, he is leading in the first state. A win in Iowa would boost him in NV and NH. The question is how much? It should be enough to get him to 2nd in those states at minimum.

6. Clinton was raised in Illinois...
A midwestern kid all the way ~ not so for Obama. But Obama lives there these days (except for when he's in DC or on the road) ~ not so for Clinton. It's probably a wash.

11. ARG is a bogus operation
"Pay for play" firm that usually works for Republicans. Slip Dick Bennet a few bucks under the table and it's amazing what happens.

This firm is located in a tiny suite of offices about three blocks from here. They simply do not have the capacity to conduct all of the polls that they claim.

Crooked operation, and to be taken with a large pile of salt.
