Rove Immune? When Will This Stop??? |
|
Seems that the Village Idiot has declared that "executive privilege" allows him to declare Karl Rove to be "immune" from testimony.....TESTIMONY? The brazen attitudes of this president would definitely make Hitler and Goebbels proud!
I don't know who is giving them "constitutional" advice, but they need to be stopped while there are still a few laws left on the books that affect the executive branch. Of course, when you have turned the Justice Department into a political arm of the Waffen SS....I mean the Bush White House.....it makes it difficult to stop the process that is like a train with no brakes heading down the mountain with nuclear warheads on board!!
Somewhere along the way, The Cheney Youth have decided that this administration is not answerable to anyone! It seems to me, that our Republican counterparts need to work to stop the precedent being set by their glorious leaders, because as scared as they seem of, say Hillary, do they REALLY want her to come into office in January, 2009 (or any Democrat for that matter) already possessing the power that Bush and his evil puppeteer have claimed for the executive branch?? I don't think that I even want a Democrat or anyone else to have THIS much power without any kind of checks and balances!
A year and a half is REALLY seeming like a VERY LONG TIME, all of a sudden.

1. The obvious question is, I guess, |
|
What makes you think they're leaving in January 2009?

2. a year and a half is all of eternity |
|
I shudder to think what evil these creatures can and will do in that period of time. And I fear that the Dems in Congress are too cowardly to take real action. I do not want to read about one more person ignoring Congressional demands to testify, or one more time extension granted for a "corrected response" for testimony taken under oath - or hear about one more STERNLY WORDED LETTER....
Good grief - Congress takes an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, right? WHEN DO THEY PLAN TO START?
(now donning my asbestos suit to prepare for the flaming I shall recieve....)

8. Hi Perry - Fortunately my asbestos suit is on so I can reply! I am a Dem and have been |
|
for my whole life. That said I freely admit that I am seriously frustrated by the GLACIAL pace of action in Congress. What possible reason can there be? There have been some good hearings started, some attempts to find truth BUT they seem to fall apart when push comes to shove.
We can't afford to wait. The world can't afford to wait. This administration is a serious threat to America and to the world. We NEED our Dems to take charge. We need serious action from Congress to checkmate the bush administration. Because they are the gravest danger we face.

15. I believe the reason for the slow...... |
|
.......pace is the same as the reason for so many votes giving Bush what he thought was a blank check to invade Iraq.
POLITICAL COVER! All that voted for the Bush request, were afraid of being called "unpatriotic" or "appeasing" at the time, because Bush's poll numbers were so high. I mean, out here in NE Texas, I KNEW that these fascists in the White House were lying, and I knew it as it ROLLED OUT OF HIS MOUTH!! I KNOW that the Democrats in Congress knew it too! They HAD to! But they were scared and took timid actions that they now, don't just try to defend.....they CAN'T defend it.
Same thing with ending the Bush's Iraq War. Pelosi, Reid and other "leaders" are trying to KEEP this a REPUBLICAN WAR, which would be nice at election time, I guess.....EXCEPT THAT REAL KIDS ARE DYING EVERYDAY OVER THERE!!!
THERE AIN'T TIME TO TAKE POLITICAL COVER!!!

4. What is Rove's actual job title anyway? If he's "personal staff" is he protected by "executive |
|
privilege"? Of course */Cheney will say so, but can Congress push on this point?

6. Umm, it will stop when we head to DC with torches and pitchforks |
|
Not before. There's going to be bloodshed before our constitution goes back into effect.

7. If the democratic jellyfish in congress would get their spine back |
|
if rove refuses to appear, they should charge him with inherent contempt...This is the one they should start with. Send out the contempt the day before they go on recess and leave the turd fester in jail over the recess.

9. No, that won't do any good. |
|
The media is still 100% Republicon and will paint such a move as a partisan witch hunt, or ignore it altogether. Hopefully soon we will get enough of us together to march on the WH and not leave until that fat nelly tumor is in shackles.
