5. Bush is a lying sack of shit
The bridge was undergoing repair work when it collapsed. Of the eight lanes on the roadway, four were closed for repair to the 40-year-old bridge's deck, joints, guardrails and lights.

"None of it would be related to the structure," said Bob McFarlin, assistant to Minnesota Transportation Commissioner Carol Molnau.

Pawlenty said the bridge was inspected by the Minnesota Department of Transportation in 2005 and 2006 and that no structural problems were noted. "There were some minor things that needed attention," he said.

U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman said federal transportation officials said the bridge was last inspected in 2004. Members of a National Transportation and Safety Board highway investigation team are heading to Minneapolis.

8. He decided not to blame Obama at the last minute
Yes, he did go on about how the Democrats won't sign some bill about getting rid of taxes or whatever...I was listening to Stephanie Miller's commentary and couldn't stop laughing... what a lout.

11. In a round about way he is trying to blame democrats for the fact
that they having sent him a spending bill HE WANTS. The S.O.B. has had 7 years to take care of the problems in this country. If he hadn't invaded a neutral country, given all that money to companies like Halliburton and Bechtol and the rest of the republican owned corporations he might have been able to give the money to states to repair roads, bridges and help the poor and needy.

He sure as hell did help people his FAMILY FIRST and then his friends and the corporations.

12. Jesus, is EVERYTHING political with this asshole??
This is not the time to be talking about spending bills, particularly with all the $$$ that he's diverted to his cronies to finance this unnecessary war. My contempt for him continues to grow far beyond what I thought was possible.
